Egbomi Cici in an evening of orixá stories, songs and movement

  • Viver Brasil Dance Company 2141 North Gower Street Los Angeles, CA, 90068 United States (map)

Join Viver Brasil and Brasil Brasil Cultural Center as we celebrate our dearest Egbomi Cici in an evening of orixá stories, songs and movement as she spins tales that affirm wisdom, tranquility, and cool waters. As Egbomi says, we gather together to calm our earth and honor the power of community. Vera Passos, Linda Yudin, Luiz Badaró and Mestre Amen Santo will accompany Egbomi Cici in song and dance.
Egbomi Cici is celebrating her 50th-anniversary initiation into the Candomblé as a daughter of Oxala, the peace orixa on November 13 at her temple, Ilê Axé Opo Aganju. Ticket proceeds on October 1 will go directly to Egbomi Cici towards this golden celebration as well as assist the many children she serves in her community of Vila America in Salvador, Bahia.

Listen to the Ancestors: Wisdom of Ebomi Cici, co-authored by Camellia Lee and Ebomi Cici will be available for purchase.

See you at this beautiful event.
