Eileen Cooley (Lighting Designer 2003-2011), multi award winning designer, received her Master’s in Choreography from UCLA and (without ever actually planning to do so) evolved that into a career as a Lighting Designer specializing in dance. She currently serves as Lighting Designer for such companies as South Bay Ballet, Celebrate Dance, Danza Floricanto/USA, Pennington Dance Group, Rangoli Foundation, Francisco Martinez Dance Theatre, San Pedro Ballet, Viver Brasil, the On Ensemble and numerous dance festivals in southern California. She has been honored with more than seven Lester Horton Awards for Outstanding Achievement in Lighting for Dance and the Gary Bates Award for Service to the Field.
Ric Zimmerman (Technical Director / Lighting Designer) is a Los Angeles-based lighting designer for theatre, dance, music and events. Selected theatrical credits include Taming of the Shrew, Moonlight and Magnolias, Spit Like a Big Girl, Wait Until Dark and Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf with the Hermosa Beach Playhouse; Equus, How I Learned to Drive, The Diviners and To Kill A Mockingbird with the Production Company; After the Autumn, Juliet & Her Romeo, Twelfth Night and A Midsummer Night’s Dream with Vanguard Rep; Twelfth Night and the premiere of Out of My Head with the Mechanicals; and many other productions at The Complex, Kingsmen Shakespeare Festival, Theatre 40, The Odyssey, Civic Light Opera of South Bay Cities, The Broad Stage, The Madrid Theatre, The Neighborhood Playhouse, the Luckman and others. Dance lighting credits include: Rhapsody in Taps (Mexico), Keshet Chaim, Lula Washington Dance Theatre (Russia, China and Brazil), Theatre Bethune, Edge, Synapse, Lineage Dance, Mojacar Flamenco and the annual Pasadena Dance Festival. Corporate clients include the NHRA, Boeing, Center Theatre Group, Panasonic and the Hard Rock Cafe. Music lighting credits include Lea Salonga, Judy Collins, Cyndi Lauper, Seun Kuti, The Fishtank Ensemble, Esperanza Spalding and The Bird and the Bee. Ric was honored as Lighting Designer of the Year 2010-2011 by StageSceneLA. He received his BA in Music Composition from Loyola Marymount University.
