Samba in the Streets is a Viver Brasil community engagement program in partnership with KAOS Network made possible in part by a grant from the City of Los Angeles, California Arts Council, Department of Cultural Affairs and Engaging Dance Audiences administered by Dance/USA and made possible with generous funding from the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation.
Samba in the Streets began in 2016 and has served over 750 residents in Leimert Park in partnership with KAOS Network. In the winter of 2018, Viver Brasil toured this program to Birmingham, Selma and Lowndes, Alabama and shared this free program with over 9,000 audience and community members.
